*NOTE: Some of these backgrounds were crafted by Ellcrze, whose Patreon is currently inactive. Don’t worry, I have found the archive and included some of the SFS links in this post!
Sims 4 CAS Backgrounds
After downloading your favorite Sims 4 CAS background, remember to move the .package file into your Mods folder.
No matter which style you choose, remember to only have 1 active CAS background at a time so your game can work properly.
Just in case you have a blue shadow or blob in the middle of your CAS screen, consider downloading this blob remover by URBANSIMS.

It’s easy to get stunned by this Sims 4 background simply because of how aesthetic it looks!
How do you get CAS background on Sims 4?
Start by googling Sims 4 custom CAS background. Find a curation post like this or go directly to a Sims 4 CC creator’s page and choose your favorite TS4 background. Then, download the CAS background file(s) into your computer.
How do you change the background in Sims 4 CAS ?
- Download your favorite Sims 4 CAS background from this list. If it’s zipped, extract it into .package files.
- From all of the backgrounds that you have downloaded, pick 1 that you truly want to try. Remember, it needs to be a .package file.
- Put that 1 specific file into your Mods folder. My Documents >> Electronic Art >> The Sims 4 >> Mods.
- Launch the game and enable custom content under the GAME OPTIONS.
- Click on NEW GAME and go to CAS (Create A Sim) mode.
- In the CAS you should see the background automatically changes according to the background CC you have chosen.
How do you unlock full CAS?
To unlock full CAS you can use The Sims 4 CAS Full Edit Mode Cheat. Here is how:
- In The Sims 4 game, open the cheat console by pressing Ctrl + Shift + C (on a PC) or Command + Shift + C (on a Mac).
- In the cheat console, type “testingcheats true” (without the quotes) and press Enter. This will enable cheat mode.
- Type “cas.fulleditmode” and hit enter.
- Shift-click on a sima nd choose “Modify in CAS”.
- Welcome to the CAS Full Edit Mode and you should notice additional options and features that were previously locked.
